I am insured and happy to provide references upon request.
I've been building things for as long as I can remember. A beloved high school art teacher encouraged me to pursue an art degree in college. I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Ohio University, then went on to get a Masters in sculpture at Northern Illinois University.
I have more than 30 years of specialty carpentry experience ranging from building large-scale trade show displays to restoring churches and their furnishings. My wife's career brought us to Peoria in 2002, giving me the opportunity to put my experience to work creating custom furniture and woodwork for a variety of clients. I have since expanded into furniture repair, antique furniture restoration and chair caning.
I view custom carpentry as an art form. I am dedicated to quality work (a bit obsessed, actually) and only use the best materials like real hardwoods. I'd love to talk to you about that special piece for your home or office, or how I can help bring an old favorite back to life.
If you scroll through my website, you'll see that I take on a pretty wide variety of projects from simple to ornate and from quick to involved. I've also started doing some work for online furniture retailers who need repairs made for their local clients. My pricing is based on time and materials, and I'm always mindful of your budget.
